Galen McCune

Galen McCune lives in Woodward, Oklahoma, with his wife, Jo Ann. Born and raised in northwest Oklahoma, Galen has dedicated his life to agriculture and education. He taught Agricultural Education and operated a successful show pig business and boar stud for many years. Together, Galen and Jo Ann raised five daughters and are now proud grandparents to thirteen grandchildren.

After graduating from Oklahoma State University in 1980, Galen began judging livestock shows—especially swine—and has continued for more than 45 years. His expertise has taken him to nearly every state, and he still enjoys the challenge of evaluating top-quality animals. Galen’s passion for the livestock industry has blessed his family in countless ways and inspired him to share those blessings with the next generation of judges.
