Shane Bedwell

Shane and his family live in Holt, MO where he serves as the COO of the American Hereford Association. Shane has judged shows at every level across the country and is regarded by many as one of the elite cattle evaluators in the country.

Shane is a native of Medicine Lodge Kansas and was raised on his family’s cow-calf and wheat farming operation. Shane has fond memories working with his grandfather who ran the sale barn for many years in Medicine Lodge.

Shane attended Butler Community College and Kansas State University. At both places he was a member of highly successful livestock judging teams. After Kansas State Shane completed a master’s degree at the University of Illinois, coaching the judging team there. He then accepted a position as a coach at Colorado State University. During his time there he had 2 National Champion teams. He then accepted a position as the livestock judging coach at Colorado State University, during his tenure there his teams claimed two National Champion Livestock Judging titles.
